Scottish Golf is saddened to learn of the passing of well-respected rules official Allan Wilson. Allan was a member at Carluke Golf Club and past President of Lanarkshire Golf Association.
Allan was always one of the first to offer his assistance to Scottish Golf at its National Championships, bringing his wealth of rules knowledge, and love for golf, to events across Scotland over the past 18 years.
“Karin Sharp, Chief Operating Officer at Scottish Golf, said, “Allan was a loyal contributor to the game here in Scotland. His passion for being involved in our National Championships was unrivalled and he would always carry out his role as a Rules Official to the highest standard while connecting with players to help them better understand the rules of golf.
“We know that he will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him. Our thoughts are with Allan’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
