There are many ways to get into golf, be it through a family member who already plays or by being encouraged by your friends.
As the national governing body for golf in Scotland, it’s important for us to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy playing golf and we are working hard to make golf Scotland’s game for everyone.
For those seeking to reach the top, there are a number of possible routes to becoming a top amateur or professional golfer and our identified player pathway is in place to support golfers and give them the best chance of maximising their potential. This pathway offers a systematic approach to talent identification, performance coaching, player development and monitoring.
We are currently working on updating the player pathway and this will be updated in due course. For information on Scottish Golf’s current programmes please see below.
