Margo Bauer, a former President of the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association, celebrated her 100th birthday today with messages of celebration pouring in from across the golfing community in Scotland.
Margo has been a life-long advocate of the game in Scotland, holding numerous prestigious roles within women’s golf as Captain and President of the Lanarkshire Ladies County Golf Association. Margo also spent time as Chair of the Ladies Golf Union.
Fiona Norris, Captain of Lanarkshire Ladies County Golf Association, said, “Margo has been a great supporter of Lanarkshire Ladies County Golf Association. We are very proud of all her achievements in golf and wish her a very happy birthday”
Margo’s commitment to the game was recognised when she was appointed Vice President of the Ladies Golf Union. The honorary award recognises those who have made significant contributions to the game of golf in Scotland, and Margo is in esteemed company alongside Solheim Cup Captain, Catriona Matthew.
