COVID-19 Updated Government Advice for Golf Clubs

Posted on 22/03/2020

Scottish Golf continues to liaise with Government to ensure our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) is in-line with the latest advice for clubs and golfers in Scotland.

Following Friday night’s Government briefing, we have the following update for all of our affiliated golf clubs.

The latest update from the Government can be viewed here. Within this guidance, it is clear that the following businesses have been instructed to close:

  • Food and drink premises (other than those providing takeaway services)
  • Pubs, clubs and other drinking establishments

Therefore, all bar and dining facilities within clubhouses must now close with immediate effect.

Scottish Golf will continue to support our golfing community during these unprecedented times and have worked hard to ensure we adapt the game to make playing the game safe, in line with public health and government advice.

We appreciate that this is an ever-changing situation which we will continue to monitor and update on a day-by-day basis and all of our latest updates can be viewed at the specific COVID-19 page on our website here.
